We begin our day heading to Nea Makri, a beautiful and peaceful coastal village in Eastern Attica. In this quiet corner at the foot of the lush, historic Mount Penteli stands the Holy Monastery of the Annunciation, widely known as the Monastery of Saint Ephraim.

Nestled among greenery and serenity, this monastery is one of Greece’s most beloved pilgrimage sites. It houses the incorrupt and miraculous relic of Saint Ephraim the Neomartyr, drawing many faithful seeking spiritual comfort. After the visit and prayer at this sacred site, we continue our journey towards the beach of Nea Makri.
